Registration Information

Because we want your hospital stay to be as comfortable as possible, we believe it should begin with a smooth and expedient patient registration / admissions process.  You may wish to use our online pre-registration process for added convenience.

To register for inpatient admission, same day surgery, CT Scans, MRI, Ultrasound, or cardiology please go to Registration / Admissions located on the first floor in the main lobby. To register or pre-register for outpatient diagnostic services such as x-rays, mammograms, laboratory, stress tests, and sleep studies please go to the Outpatient Diagnostic Center on the main campus in front of the hospital. Laboratory services are also provided offsite at 2422 W. Pierce, Suite 2A in Southwest Medical Complex. Please call 575-887-4177 for any questions.

When checking in for inpatient or outpatient services, you may be asked to provide personal and financial information about yourself and consent to the Patient Rights and Responsibilities. The information you share with our trained admissions representative becomes part of your medical record and is kept confidential.

All Patients Should Remember to Bring:

• Picture Identification
• All Active Insurance Cards
• Any Advance Directive (Living Will, Power of Attorney)
• Come prepared to pay your patient portion including co-pays, deductibles or self-pay portion.

Pre-Admission Testing

Some patients are required to undergo simple pre-admission testing prior to admission. These tests are typically scheduled by your physician’s office one week to one day prior to surgery.  For your convenience, pre-admission registration is in the same location as Same Day Surgery.

Arrival Times (unless otherwise indicated by your physician)

• Outpatient Diagnostic Procedures – 30 minutes prior to appointment time
• Outpatient Surgery – 2 hours prior to appointment time
• Inpatient Surgery – 2 hours prior to appointment time

What to Bring for an Overnight Stay

• Pajamas or Nightgown
• Bathrobe
• Slippers
• Non-Electrical Shaver
• Daily Personal Hygiene Supplies
• A List of Your Prescription Medications / Dosages

Do NOT Bring

• Jewelry Items
• Medications from Home
• Electric Radio, Fan or Other Appliances
