Carlsbad Medical Center understands that rising healthcare costs place a burden on the uninsured population. We are committed to helping patients who do not have the financial means to pay their hospital bill. Carlsbad Medical Center contracts with Cardon Healthcare to assist uninsured patients in qualifying for public assistance programs. The following public assistance programs are among those available in New Mexico.

The state of New Mexico also offers healthcare coverage through the State Coverage Insurance (SCI). SCI offers affordable health care coverage to low-income working adults primarily through an employer-based system. You may enroll through your employer group or as an individual. For those uninsured patients who do not qualify for a public assistance program, Carlsbad Medical Center offers the following assistance programs to qualifying individuals.
