Radiation Therapy
CMC’s Radiation Oncology Center offers advanced technology designed to precisely target tumors and spare nearby healthy cells. We are currently the only center in Southeastern New Mexico to offer stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), which is a highly targeted and ultra-precise therapy used to treat early stage lung cancer when chest surgery is not an option due to coexisting medical conditions. With SBRT, only 3-5 treatments are necessary to effectively treat early stage lung cancer. We can also treat cancers of the prostate, breast, skin, head and neck, as well as lymphomas and brain and bone tumors.
Board-certified radiation oncologist Ronda Fleck, M.D., has more than 30 years of experience treating cancer, and the radiation therapists and nursing staff provide compassionate, skilled care. The multidisciplinary team also includes a dietician, speech therapist and other nutritional support services.
We are located at 2428 W. Pierce Street, on the campus of Carlsbad Medical Center. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. For more information, please call: (575) 887-0272.
