Pecos Valley Urgent Care Now Open Six Days a Week

Carlsbad Medical Center and Pecos Valley Physician Group are pleased to announce that their Urgent Care clinic, Pecos Valley Urgent Care, will be offering extended hours to accommodate Carlsbad’s growing patient population.
Beginning Sunday, November 3, the clinic will begin operating six days a week, Sunday through Friday, 7a.m. - 6 p.m. Pecos Valley Urgent Care is located at 3823 National Parks Highway on the south side of Carlsbad and offers non-emergent healthcare services for patients of all ages. No appointment is necessary – walk-ins are welcome.
“We are very excited to expand the days and hours of operation at our Urgent Care location,” said Nick Arledge, CEO, Carlsbad Medical Center. “This fulfills a need for more availability and access to care on the south side of our community for all Carlsbad and south Eddy County residents.”
Pecos Valley Urgent Care is a convenient option when you need to see a provider for a variety of conditions including: minor emergencies, cuts and abrasions, sprains and strains, sports injuries, treatment of minor injuries, and common illnesses such as colds, flu, and other various medical conditions.
The team of experienced providers at Pecos Valley Urgent Care includes family nurse practitioners Teagan Bratcher, Laura Alonso and Stephanie Gomez.
Teagan Bratcher, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, joined the Pecos Valley family of providers in 2023 and has experience working as both a primary care provider and an urgent care provider. She earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing and her Master of Science in nursing from Chamberlain University.
Before coming to the United States, Laura Alonso, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, earned her medical degree at the University of Havana and worked as a general physician for several years in Cuba, Venezuela and Colombia. After her arrival in the US, she worked as a medical assistant and a registered nurse before completing her Master of Science in nursing at Florida National University. She has over 10 years of experience, providing emergency services, wound care, OB/GYN, pediatrics, family medicine, and intensive care.
Stephanie Gomez, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, grew up in Carlsbad, earning her associate degree in nursing from New State University-Carlsbad, and her Bachelor of Science in nursing at Grand Canyon University. After many years of nursing in a variety of healthcare settings including ER, med-surg, ICU, flight nursing and private practice. Stephanie earned her MSN with a family nurse practitioner concentration through Walden University. She has over 20 years of nursing experience treating patients of all ages.
All three providers are board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
