Patients & Visitors
In response to the resurgence of COVID-19 in our state, and particularly Eddy County, effective Wednesday, August 11, 2021, Carlsbad Medical Center has implemented the following updated patient visitation guidelines:
-
Inpatient visitation for all patients and units, with the exception of inpatient rehab, will still be permitted between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily; however, only one visitor per patient is allowed at this time.
- After 8 p.m., visitors will need to enter and exit through the emergency department.
- There is no visitation allowed on the inpatient rehab unit at this time. Visitors of rehab patients may call the unit at (575) 887-4375 to schedule visitation time, and a member of our nursing staff will bring the patient to the first floor for the visit.
- All Pecos Valley Physician Group clinics will allow only one person to accompany each patient at this time.
- All visitors must wear a mask, and social distancing methods still apply in waiting areas, throughout the facility and in our physician clinics.
Upon arrival, these limited visitors to the facility will be asked to wear a mask, maintain social distance and sanitize their hands. By entering the facility, visitors will attest that they:
- Do not have any symptoms of COVID-19 or flu
- Do not have any new loss of taste or smell
- Do not have a fever of 100F or above
- Have not had recent unprotected close contact with a COVID-19 positive person
- Are not currently COVID-19 positive
We ask visitors to please NOT enter if you have any of the above symptoms. If you need to be seen by a healthcare provider, please proceed to the emergency room, an urgent care, or make an appointment with a primary care provider. To make an appointment online, visit www.PecosValleyDocs.com.
If you begin to feel ill while you are here, please let a receptionist know so you can be screened right away.
The safety of our patients, providers and employees while we deliver quality, compassionate care is our top priority. We thank our staff for their continued commitment to our patients, and we thank the community for your understanding and support during these challenging times.
At Carlsbad Medical Center, we understand that coming to the hospital as a patient or as a loved one's support person can be a difficult, often overwhelming experience. Whether you’re preparing for a hospital stay or stopping by to see
