Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation
Carlsbad Medical Center’s acute inpatient rehabilitation unit is located on the 3rd floor of the hospital. We offer 10 private rooms and care for adults 18 years of age and older. The therapy and nursing team is proud of our patients’ ability to achieve independence and return home. Our acute inpatient rehabilitation unit has been recognized by, and received the Top Performer Award from, Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation Programs several years in a row. Patients can increase their independence and stay focused on returning home through the use of a therapy gym and activities where they can practice their skills and regain strength.
The acute inpatient rehabilitation unit’s commitment to rebuilding independent lives is accomplished through:
- A goal-oriented philosophy of treatment built upon our dedication to positive results
- Custom-designed treatment plans for every patient
- Family and patient education and counseling to help build a bridge from hospital to home
- Nursing and staff ratios adjusted according to patient needs
- Home evaluations when indicated upon discharge
